The best day of my life so far. So what if I’m exaggerating, today was fucking awesome. First of all, its the day of my first accessible 2NE1 performance. It wasn’t their own concert or anything, they were just guests on this lecture/talk show, but I still wanted to see them live anyways so I signed up for tickets… which leads me to my prelude.
Prelude:
So, as obvious as it is, I am not Korean. I can hardly speak Korean, let alone read Korean instructions and figure out how to register for this Korean show. But, with literally a miracle, I was able to sign myself up, which til this day, I don’t have any fucking clue how I did it without the help of Sharon or Woosung. I swear I must have been momentarily possessed by some Korean spirit. But long story short, I was able to register and got some information sent to my phone regarding the show.
Second Prelude:
Had NO idea what the mobile messages contained. I think at that point the Korean spirit had left me, and I was no longer possessed. I wish I still was because I think I gave Sharon and Woosung additional stress to try and help me figure out the instructions that were sent to my phone to purchase tickets. This long story short, I will forever be grateful to Sharon and Woosung. I literally cannot properly express my gratitude towards them for all their help. Because of them, I am able to move onto the IMPORTANT content.
IMPORTANT CONTENT:
So back to 5/16/2012, today is the day of 2NE1’s performance!!!!! Turns out that the show sends people who registered online for tickets, mobile tickets that you have to present at the venue to redeem an official ticket. I had received my mobile ticket yesterday and was ALL SET for today. Today started off as a good day. Class was not that boring and on top of that, my teacher let me out early which was more than perfect since I had a CONCERT to attend. Met with my friend who was my plus one and jetted for the subway. Initially, when we mapped out the trip, it said it would take us like an hour and some minutes to get to Jamsil, but it only took 20 MIN to get there which was the first sign of a fucking awesome day.
When we arrived, we immediately saw the stadium and headed towards the crowd. I originally thought that this event or show would be a small lecture kind of thing with a short and small guest appearance by 2NE1….. BUT I WAS SO WRONG. This event was fucking HUGE. HUUUUGE. There were at least 5,000 people there and the arena was a fucking full on stadium….. should have realized that when i looked up the venue name… (Jamsil Stadium -.-) but anyway so I was pumped since it looked so official and BIG. We got out tickets…. FOR FREE… this was a fucking free event… with free stuff… and 2NE1!!!!! I really had to pinch myself several times to make sure I was really alive and breathing. When we got in the stadium, we found our seats and were already super stoked cause the view was great. [SKIPPING PARTS ABOUT FUCKING BORING ASS 4 HOUR LECTURE ABOUT PASSION THAT WAS ALL IN KOREAN AND I ONLY UNDERSTOOD 1/3 OF IT] 2NE1 FINALLY CAME ON.
They opened with Fire and I went crazy. I taped the whole performance, but I was literally shaking the whole time and my videos can prove it lol. I cried. HAHAHAHAHA. I was literally in shock the entire time. After Fire was Can’t Nobody and that’s when I knew they were going to do more than just 2 songs!!!! They followed with Clap your hands, Ugly and then finished with I am the Best. The. Best. Show. I have EVER seen. EVER. I love them more than I already did, which is saying a lot. When the concert ended, I was already satisfied, but Cordero wanted more LOLOLL.
BEST PART:
So he was very determined to find them backstage to see them leave like to their car or something. I was fond of the idea, but I thought the possibility of us getting in the back past security was like literally dirt zero…… BUT I DONT KNOW HOW THE FUCK WE DID IT, BUT WE DID IT. We walked up to the back door, saw a guy and i freaked out, I thought he would ask us to leave…. BUT HE HELD THE DOOR OPEN FOR US. WTFFFFF. i was in shock that I hesitated to walk in the doors. As soon as we stepped in, we were so confused as to where to go from there… until I looked to my left, and saw Dara. San-fucking-dara. My jaw literally dropped. I looked like the biggest retard EVER. I just stood there with my mouth open, and managed to get out one “OMG”. I then realized that Cordero had not relaized that they were fucking right next to us yet, so I managed to scream his name to get him to look left. Then one right after the other, we met 2NE1. First Dara, then CL, then Minzy, then MY FAVE BOM <3. All four stood A FOOT away from us. and the funniest part was, we were the fucking only two people there. NO GUARDS. NO STAFF. just me, Cordero, and 2NE1. I was so close to shitting my pants. So close. I looked all four of those gorgeous ladies in the eyes and said in my retarded Korean, “thank you, you worked so hard!!” and bowed like crazy LMAO. will continue this post tomorrow because I need to sleep before I miss class tomorrow….. I LOVE TODAY SO MUCH NO WILL EVER UNDERSTAND <3 <3<3<3<3

I never thought I could be disappointed here. I loved every minute of my life here as soon as I stepped off the plane. But now I have come to the conclusion that even while I’m living my dream come true, I can’t expect perfection.
I don’t think I can ever depend on other people, ever. I have to keep reminding myself that I came here to enjoy myself and make myself happy.
In the end mom is always right. I have to stop trusting people so fast.
